Greetings!

First off, let me take a second to introduce myself. My name is Grant Bryans, and I am the Town's Code Enforcement Officer. I have had the privilege of serving the Town for four years. I wanted to get a page on this platform that could help people better understand what I do and get some direct feedback on how the Town is doing as far as codes and the enforcement of these codes.

The first thing I would like to go over is what I do and cover. My job is to enforce the Town's Municipal Code found here. The purpose of my position is to ensure that everyone is held to the same standard. Some of the areas that I tend to focus on are the following:

  1. Parking (Chapter 8, as well as the Colorado Model Traffic Code Part 12)
  2. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspections
  3. Nuisances (Chapter 7-1 - 7-5)
  4. Working with local businesses to ensure they have all the proper permits and licenses in play
    1. Short-Term Rentals (6-121)
    2. Business licenses (6-21)
    3. Sign Permits (16-4.7)
    4. Home Occupations(16-3.3.4B)
  5. Camping ( RVs on Private property 8-44; Tents on Private property 7-200)
  6. Dogs (Chapter 7 Article VI)
  7. All building permits are in place (I am not a building inspector just ensuring that any build subject to a building permit has that permit)
  8. Weeds (Chapter 7 Article IV)
  9. Snow removal (7-14)
  10. updating Town's Code

The other purpose of this page is to provide a portal where complaints, questions, comments, and feedback are received. Look below at the tools for an interactive experience and the widgets to the right to find more information.

Thank you!

Currently, for the start of 2022, Code Enforcement is working on snow and ice removal. It is the obligation of anyone with a sidewalk that abuts Town property to ensure that the sidewalk is clear of snow and ice 24 hours after the storm. Failing to remove snow and ice can result in a fine. If you cannot get the work done in time, don't hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss. Thanks
