August 2025: New Grocery Store Proposed for Buena Vista: City Market Application Under Review

The Town of Buena Vista is reviewing a development application for a new City Market grocery store at the northwest corner of North Highway 24 and Crossman Avenue. This proposal represents a major retail addition to our community, and we want to ensure the public is informed and involved every step of the way.

Proposed Use: Retail grocery store with fueling station, online pickup, and drive-thru pharmacy
Size: Approx. 60,000 square feet on 6 acres of vacant land

Improvements & Design Highlights
The application includes a full-service grocery store, 7 online pickup lanes, a 4-dispenser fuel station, and a drive-thru pharmacy. Site access improvements include a signalized intersection at Farwell and Hwy 24, new drive connections on Crossman Avenue, and truck circulation upgrades to support deliveries and customer access.

Project Status
The proposal is currently in review with the Town’s Development Review Team and will be subject to a public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission. No decisions have been made.
