Bringing Buena Vista’s Parks to Life: July 2025 Beautification Town Signs Project Almost Complete

The Town of Buena Vista is proud to update The Beautification Town Signs Project, a community-driven initiative to upgrade and unify signage across our public parks and facilities. This project reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming, consistent, and well-branded experience for residents and visitors alike.
From Forest Square Park to the Community Center, Buena Vista’s recreational amenities are a cornerstone of our community identity. With a vibrant new town logo and branding palette in place, our older and weathered park signs stood out, not for their visibility, but for their inconsistency and deterioration. This project brings a much-needed refresh to these important community spaces.
What’s Happening:
The project includes nine signage updates:
-
New signs at:
Pump Track
Forest Square Park (first-time signage!)
Billy Cordova Memorial Park
Central Colorado Regional Airport (finally, a road sign!)
Columbine Park
Millie Crymble Park
-
Upgraded signs at:
Mt. Olivet Cemetery
Community Center
These signs not only reflect Buena Vista’s new visual identity, with rustic textures and brighter, friendlier colors, but also enhance navigation, increase accessibility, and elevate our public spaces as places of pride.
Why It Matters:
The project is rooted in the goals of Buena Vista’s 2018 Wayfinding Plan and aligns with long-standing community priorities to:
Reinforce our town’s unique sense of place
Highlight vital community resources
Improve navigation for visitors
Support local economic growth and tourism
Reflect our commitment to intentional and fiscally responsible infrastructure improvements
What the Community Is Saying:
“Clean, bright, and a nice blend of elements.”
“Having aesthetically pleasing elements, even small, go a long way in place building.”
“The updated signs are exciting—it’s all part of the bigger picture of Buena Vista evolving while staying true to its roots.”
Whether it’s new signage at Forest Square Park or improved visibility at the Community Center, these updates support a safer, more welcoming, and more cohesive experience for all who live, work, and play in Buena Vista.
Timeline:
All sign installations are scheduled for completion by October 31, 2024.
