Did the Town sell that Chicago Ranch water rights?
No. The Chicago Ranch and its associated water rights were owned by private individuals who chose to sell directly to Triview Metropolitan District. The Town of Buena Vista was not involved at all in this transaction.
Will the property be developed into housing?
Nope! The Rodeo Grounds are zoned as Open Space/Recreation and there are no plans nor desires from Town to change the zoning or pursue any sort of residential development on the site.
Will Town annex the Chicago Ranch property?
Triview Metropolitan District has requested that the Chicago Ranch property be annexed into Town. We anticipate their formal petition coming through in the coming months. This annexation process will have opportunities for public participation and involvement through public hearings, meetings, and more tools on my-BV.com! If annexation takes place, the Chicago Ranch property will be zoned and the current plan is to zone it the same as the Rodeo Grounds - Open Space/Recreation.
