Applicants Joseph & Ashley Teipel are seeking to build a four-unit building on the Western edge of their property located at 124 Mill Street. This application entails three distinct applications and review processes:

  • Minor subdivision - to create a separate lot for the building to sit on
  • Administrative site plan review - required for a building of this type and size
  • Special Use Permit - as required for small-multi family uses in the MU-1 zone district

Because Joseph works for the Town's Planning Department, the minor subdivision and site plan review processes have been referred to the Planning & Zoning Commission for consideration alongside the Special Use Permit. In addition, the Town's independent planning and engineering consultants RG & Associates are conducting the staff report and process coordination work. All these extra steps are in place to ensure no perception of, or real, special treatment for the applicant and this case.

This case will also require a Public Improvements Agreement to be approved by the Board of Trustees.
