Repainting the exterior of the public restroom facility enhances the overall appearance, safety, and usability of a key amenity within the Town’s park system. As a frequently used trailhead and park access point, the facility contributes directly to residents’ and visitors’ recreational experiences. Maintaining it in good condition reinforces Buena Vista’s commitment to high-quality, well-maintained public spaces that promote outdoor activity, community pride, and long-term infrastructure stewardship.
Project scope:
Site Preparation
Conduct a site inspection to assess existing conditions.
Post appropriate signage to notify the public of ongoing work and ensure safety.
Clear the surrounding area of debris, vegetation, or items obstructing access to the building exterior.
Surface Preparation
Pressure wash exterior surfaces to remove dirt, mildew, and peeling paint.
Scrape, sand, and prime areas where old paint is flaking or damaged.
Repair minor surface imperfections (e.g., small cracks or holes) as needed before painting.
Painting
Apply a high-quality, weather-resistant exterior paint approved for municipal facilities.
Use colors and finishes in alignment with Town design standards or previously approved palettes.
Apply a minimum of two coats or as specified by the manufacturer for optimal coverage and durability.
Clean-Up
Remove all equipment, materials, and debris from the site.
